Our Commitment
Patient Coverage Connect LLC wants everyone — patients, family members, healthcare staff, and Medicare advisors — to be able to use our website and services, including people who use screen readers, magnification, captions, voice control, or a keyboard instead of a mouse.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people with a wide range of disabilities.
What We Do
- Provide captions and a written transcript for our narrated videos.
- Give meaningful images a text description, and hide purely decorative images from screen readers.
- Use headings, labels, and page language settings so assistive technology can describe each page accurately.
- Support browser zoom and text resizing without losing content.
- Review new pages and features for accessibility before we publish them.
Known Limitations
We are still working toward full conformance, and some areas may not yet meet every guideline:
- PCC Direct (for healthcare practices) currently works only in desktop Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome and Edge, because it relies on browser features for reading patient summary files. Practices that need an alternative way to submit a referral can contact us.
- Third-party components, such as the payment form used by advisors and the consent-documentation service on the appointment confirmation page, are provided by other companies. We choose vendors with accessibility in mind but do not control their code.
- Older documents and pages may not yet have been reviewed against current guidelines. We will provide an accessible version on request.
Need Help or an Alternative Format?
If you have trouble using any part of our website, or need information in a different format (such as large print or a plain-text version), please tell us. Let us know the page address, what you were trying to do, and the best way to reach you. We will work with you to provide the information or complete the task another way.
If you are a patient and are having trouble confirming an appointment, you can also ask the healthcare staff who referred you, or simply wait for the advisor to call you at the scheduled time.
